Remove the bulb. Verify that both filaments are good, or replace the bulb. Also check or clean the bulb socket contacts. Use a test light or Volt/Ohm meter to verify the correct voltage is at both contacts in the bulb socket. If a voyage is missing trace back through the wiring to find out why the voltage is missing.

SOURCE: brake lights/rear turn signals

I had the same problem with my 1999 Yukon. The electric board needed to be replaced. Rust starts to build up and shorts out or blows the bulb. The dealership charged $73.60 for the part and I installed it myself (Saved $30).

SOURCE: 99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!

My 1993 Buick Regal has a problem with the right rear brake and turn signal not working part of the time, when it works the right dash light indicator works but doesn’t work when the light doesn’t work

What about the front right turn signal, does it work when the rear doesn't? My guess is, it doesn't work either? The lower brake lites and turn signals may use the same bulb filament, but, not at the same time and are wired through the turn signal switch. Have you tried a new bulb, Is the bulb socket ok? You may need to check turn signal switch and wiring. If there is an air-bag in your steering wheel, you need to be careful, you don't want it to blow up in your face. Safety is your responsibility.

2011 Ford Edge Rear Left Turn Signal not working - Bulb and Socket confirmed good. Fuse Controlling both Left Front and Rear turn light confirmed good. Front Left turn light working fine.

The flasher is under the dash.If you turn on the signal listen for it's location.Turn on your 4 way flasher and see if the left rear light is flashing. If it's not then replace the bulb.If it still does'nt work after replacing the bulb check if there is power to the socket. Use a probe light. If no power to the socket. There is a break in the wire or worse the signal switch may be the culprit

All signals and other flashers work but passenger front flashers do not work

Use a test light, test for power and ground at the bulb contacts. Then test for power and ground at the wires. Probably needs a new socket, common problem.

TURN SIGNALS

Hi

Did you check the fuses for the turn lights? Do the
parking lights work? If the parking lights work then you probably have a
problem either in the switch or in turn signal module thing.
The burned out bulb is what might be causing it not to blink... if one bulb is burned out you gotta replace it, make no difference if front or back, the left blinker will not work if the left front or rear bulb is bad.
same with the right side. if the front right or rear right turn signal
light is burned out it will not work.....get replacing the bulbs.Hope this solves your problem. Please rate me if my solution helped you.

My right front turn signal doesn't work, I have replaced the bulb the right rear works fine

You would check the socket with a test light or meter to see if you have power and ground. If no power, the turn signal switch would be the next thing to check.

My 2001 ford expedition right hand rear turn signal and brake light doesn't work but right front signal works

Multi-function switch,(Wipers turn signals cruise) , this may sound crazy, but if you can get to the screws & remove it, smack the unit on a table top 2-3 times & re-try.
Let me know what happens. This DOES work on all Ford U-Haul trucks!

Right turn signal does not work, right one works as advertised. checked wiring and fuse. if it is the flasher unit then where is it located on a 2009 883 sporster

Your bike is not equipped with the old style "flasher unit". It has a "black box" unit that is called a turn signal canceler. It starts the turn signal flashing and then cancels it after a certain period of time. In your question you said that the right signal doesn't work, then you said that the right signal does work. Make sure which ever side does not work that both the front and rear bulbs are good. If one of the bulbs is bad, it won't flash. Make sure both the front and rear turn signal light up. If you can't get it, contact me directly at [email protected] and I'll send you a trouble shooting guide. That might help you solve the problem. Make sure you remind me of what you need.

Good Luck
Steve
