Sharp TV catch-up Freeview not working - Sharp Televison & Video

It sounds like you are using a bad mixture of older technology. So you have;

A 24" (tiny) Sharp television with built in DVD Player.
A Freeview Decoder.
A Digital Box of some sort.

Have you changed the input setting on the TV to match up with the input port you have plugged the freeview box into on the back of your TV?

Sorry but this tv doesnt have freeview, it was made before freeview was built into tvs. But a freeview box can be connected to it via scart

Start by doing a factory settings/ defaults on the Sharp rather than a normal automatic retune.This should then be ok. You need to empty the existing presets first so it will find the new type of signal BBC is now using.
If still not working for BBC1 +2 then look at whether you have too much aerial signal strength. (ie a booster/splitter that you could bypass)

If I'm right in thinking this is a lcd tv with freeview already installed into it, you may not be on freeview,
What you need to do is: On the remote you have a button saying something like tv/digital or tv/dvs or something like this,
Press that so it goes onto freeview since you no need bother with analog tv anymore. Press the menu button and click installation, Will come up with tune channels or like that.
Go through the process and you should have all the channels in your area

This is the best place that's near the manual you need.
They have the LC32D44E manuals, but not the "BK" at the end. I think the "BK" just means BLACK.
But, I think it will work for your TV.

On my Aquos it's saying no carrier and database empty what do I do, I have trying to reset TV but free view isn't coming on and it's saying carrier 0.

can anyone help

The specs on this TV indicate it has built in freeview.

You’re dvd/vcr only has analogue tuner so the only way to record is by using the Phillips tv but as said tv will need to be switched on.you would need a sky or cable box or a free view box separate to the tv to record with tv off.the vcr will recieve only on the av channel av1 when connected to tv.a sky box or cable can be connected to av2 on sharp using a second scart lead and box
