My AEG oven B9879-4-worked perfectly tillI switched it off to clean. When I switched the power back on the menu is frozen at LAnguage. How do I sort this?

You can look on eBay to buy a used cooker and use it or spare parts
or if its better replace your own.

SOURCE: Oven is AEG Competence, single oven, fan assisted,

If the fan is working o/k, then you need to replace the oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment, behind a removeable cover.
This should solve the prob.

If you are certain that the element is o/k, and it is not heating, then thwere are 2 possibilitues.

1- the oven thermostat could be faulty, whereby it is giving a feed to the element.
2-some ovens have a fan only setting, as well as heat and fan, make sure that it is not on a fan only setting.
