Try shutting dow the unit totally, even try unplugging it from the wall for 15 minutes.
If the error code does not go away, then a technician is needed
A few things to consider: A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to activate. Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger inhibit connector is not plugged in properly, then the charger inhibit feature will activate.
The easiest way I know to fix the problem is just play tapes. Sounds like a bad switch contacts. clean the contacts or replace the switch. I don't know of any shortcuts. Sorry
