I have Panasonic KX-T7433 phone system. Building power shut down knocked out our voicemail. When I press the VM function key there is no noise or ability to enter PW like before. It just says VTR-165

You are pressing the VOICEMAIL TRANSFER KEY.
Try the intercom and dialing 165 first.
If it gets fast busy, then It sounds like the VM didn't survive the Power failure. Does it have a green or red light on the TVA and is it blinking steady or dark?

SOURCE: Change the time on phone system

1) press "Program", then * *, then 1234,
2) press "0 0 0",
3) press "speaker" two times,
4) change the time
5) press "store".
6) pick up the receiver to complete the change.

Do this change on the "lead" phone and it will reset all the others on your system. Not exactly an intuitive process to be sure!

SOURCE: Changing hold music - Panasonic KX-T7433

If it's truly music and not tones, the music comes from a device plugged into the system cabinet. On the side of the system there is a port marked MOH with a cable and a box at the other end. Here's where you find the MOH device and either change the CD or record new messages into it.

Intellitouch has a product called message studio that lets you make your own message on hold messages here:
hahttp://www.onholdplus.com/products/7000series_ms.html

The demo is free, and a licensed product is about $30.

SOURCE: How do I transfer a

A lot depends on what you dial to get to the voice mail and if it's a Panasonic product. Normall, x165 is the VM. So, you take a spare button, label it VTR (voicemail Transfer) and then press PROGRAM 99, the button and dial 8 165 STORE. Pick up the handset and drop it back down to exit programming mode. The button can be any button, including a PF button (not many features can use it).

The simple answer is you can force the PBX into night mode by dialing 782 on the main phone. However, it does requre programming, so if you don't have night ringing and voice mail defined, then it still won't work. 781 goes back to day mode.

On the Panasonic KX-T7433 how can I access stored messages once the message light goes out?

You would have to call the voicemail extension number - might be 500.

Panasonic KX-T7433 Voicemail Issues. How do I reset to allow us to turn the voicemail functions back on?

VTR-165 is a transfer key. You said OLD system. You should look at the VM box and post the model after being sure it has a solid green light on it..

Was the phone system ALSO defaulted as there is software at the KSU as well?

Older TVA systems were normally configured to use intercom 165 to manually select the VM.

TVS systems could have been any extention but most installers used the last ports on a card. Like 15-16 or 23-24 and put them in a hunt group (default 165) for access

I hope it isn't a TVS as you will need a PC with Procomm, hyperterminal or Telnet as well as a null modem (and I do not mean a USB conversion) just to be able to access it.

I have a KX-T7433 and would like to change the number of rings before it goes to voice mail. It is currently set at 4 rings and would like to change it to 6

The KX-T7433 isn't an answering machine. If the voicemails are going to an answering machine you have on the phone line, consult its manual. If the voicemails are going on to your telephone service provider's system, look for instructions in the phonebook, or contact the provider.

Can't reset voicemail on line extension 139

If the voicemail already has a mailbox for 139 you just might have to change the greeting. If it has to be set up or if there is a password, you have to go into admin mailbox 999 (which might have a password) to delete password first, then go into mb139 and set up a greeting. Would need to know the model # of vm
