Samsung TV with audio but no picture and no LED backlights. Flashlight test reveals screen image present. No signs of internal damage or disconnected wires. Suggestions?

I have a 28" Samsung TV (model UN28M4500AFXZA- version BB02, 2017 manufacturer date). The TV plays audio from all sources but it displays a black picture/no picture. The flashlight test in a dark room reveals a screen image is visibly present but there are no LED backlights visible on the rear of the TV. I disassembled the TV and no visible signs of damage on any boards, disconnected wires, etc. The toggle switch on the rear of the TV does not function to power up the TV so only recourse is to power on with the remote. ShopJimmy video tutorial suggests highly likely issue is with the "LED Driver" and not the main board or the t-con board. This model does not have a traditional power board but does have an AC adapter. Wondering if the toggle power switch (the part is referred to as a "P-Function Board" on ShopJimmy) is the culprit as it doesn't operate or if the LED backlight strips need to be replaced or perhaps both need to be replaced? Suggestions?

SOURCE: 2nd try see last sentences....lg led 32ln5310 tv, sound but no picture, no backlights, nothing visible on flashlight test, what should I replace? Main board, T-Con Board, Power Supply board or Leds

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Samsung TV no picture just audio

Chances are your LED backlights are bad and it's shutting down the inverter, without the proper test gear there isn't a way to test the strips without removing the panel to get at each strip but in 9 out of 10 sets we repair with the symptoms you're describing it turns out being bad lamps not the power board

Use a voltmeter to confirm all the voltages are present when the TV is powered on. If they are all correct then replace the led driver.

Samsung led tv un55h6203af doesn't have any back light but has sound

If you have done the flashlight test and an image is present on the screen when the light is shined from behind then the backlight or the backlight regulator is defective, both should be replaced.

How do I fix my Samsung 40 LED TV that has sound but no picture?

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard:

1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON.
2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs.
3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input.
4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in.
5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components.
6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode.
7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV.
8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset.
9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself.
10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed.
