Lower element of top oven does not heat on Maytag Gemini

The lower element of the top oven of my Maytag Gemini (model MER6772BAB) will not heat on either baking or cleaning cycles. I have just replaced the element but the problem persists. The top element functions just fine.

Lower element does not heat

most likely the element needs replacing, check for arcing holes, melted spots. check fuses, normaly under cover at top of stove. element is easy to replace(a few screws), unplug stove when doing so.

Remove the lower bake element and test the ohms. If none replace the oven element and its fixed. The element is usually the problem and its fairly cheap to fix.

Maytag Gemini top oven, the bottom element does not get hot. I replaced the element with a new one from maytag. what is the problem?

Hello jrlibs
Welcome,

You said, Your Maytag Gemini top oven, the bottom element does not get hot. You replaced the element with a new one from Maytag. Asking what is the problem?

1.What is the model number and the year of your Gemini Range?
2.Was there an error code that came up before you changed the heat element?
3.If yes what was the code?

4.Did you check for current in the connection leading to the element before you installed the new one? Or just plug it in hoping for the best?

Waiting for your reply!
