Neff Dishwasher S41M53N0EU I set the dishwasher Intensive 70 . Tried to set it back to ECO 50 after that but the timer remains set at 2:20 whereas normally it about 29 minutes.

They unit is held in by a screw into bottom of cabinet. Dishwashers are not repairing.

If you take the kick plate off from below the door youshould be able to access the base to remove any excess water.Behind your kick board is a plate below the door. Remove theplate.
With the power off push a rag into the base plate to soak up the water.
Failing that pull out the dishwasher onto the floor and tilt the machine backto allow the water to run outSwitch the water and power back on and restart the programto test.If the appliance is less than 2 years old Neff/Bosch Groupguarantees it

I have same issue, have just worked out that:
1=Intensive
2=Normal
3=Daily
4=Prewash
5=Eco

Either:

1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.

Looks like the heater unit has packed up.

I cannot seem to find the actual model you have anywhere on the internet. But I am assuming you connect the dishwasher to cold water inlet and it is meant to have a heater.

Are you in UK or Europe. Bosch also makes parts for the NEFF dishwasher but I am not able to find spare parts for your exact model.

If the model is correct then even without a manual the control set up is as follows.
From Lhs you will see on/off/ button next are the 2 lights top one is on/off and the bottom is for salt low light.The next button to the right is rinse and hold next Intensive 70 Degrees,next Normal 65,next Bio 50, next Quick wash 50 Degrees.To cancel a wash programme open the door and press the button for the prog. underway for more than 1 second until the corresponding light goes out.
The dishwasher is now reset and you can select a new programme.You can try this site for a manual.

you have a clogged drain hose or a weak pump.  There are no adjustment on the timer it is what it is.

Please run the machine without detergent for 2-3 washes. Also try using a little hot water. Also, don't used cleaner and softener together but add softener on the last rinse.

on the ECO 50 cycle dish washer will not stop. have had to switch it off, when try to restart it automatically goes back to the ECO 50 programme. Can you please help. The Serial No. is ADP 2440 WH.
