They are transistors. Either MOSFETs or bipolar. With MOSFET the metal can is the drain and the pins are gate and source. With bipolar transistors the can is the collector and the pins are base and emitter. The emitters and sources usually have big wirewound resistors connected to them. If not, they'll at least be connected to the heavier tracks on the pcb
Hello Jim, if the components you describe bring the indication recorded on them, 2SB530 or B530 and 2SD370 or D370, are the output transistors of your Pioneer SA8100 and as you describe are mounted on heat sink (aluminum)
Ask, what kind of failure do you want to fix?
I hope that my answer help you
Greetings Franco Dosil

The volume control and tone controls are dirty as well as the selection switch. This is common for older units. These controls and switches need to be cleaned with an electronic switch cleaner which should be available from an electronics store. Spray each control/switch and work them (turn repeatedly). Repeat this procedure a number of times and the accumulated dust/dirt will be cleaned and the unit should no longer have the problem.
Please note that it is possible that there is a transistor or 2 that are breaking down that can cause this as well. If the cleaning does not resolve the problem, let us know.

most of this TV's are not a component level repair anymore,
unfortunately you have to replace the entire board

I get this on my boat from time to time...bugs or spiders crawl up into the valves and block them. Look for an inline filter or similar device near the shower faucet that needs cleaning. Good luck.

Could be a lot of things. More triage is needed.
Have you done any isolation to prove/disprove a certain source, channel cable or speaker are NOT the problem first?
