We purchase toaster oven a year ago. Recently it's turning itself on randomly. Also adds extra minutes to cooking time by itself! Can this be fixed?

It might also be more comfortable than a regular oven, because it heats up faster and saves energy. I even bake cookies in it! The only problem is that it is usually much smaller than a standard oven, so you probably won't be able to bake a birthday cake or a roast in it. Other than that, it's a very useful device. have fun!

remove the plastic side where the controls are . if you see a broken wire you might be able to repair it otherwise theres no parts made for it ,so no matter how simple the broken part is .....there is nothing that can be done about it ........ WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF "MADE IN CHINA"

Cactus Bob Is WRONG. I've had these replaced; and then, when it happened subsequently, bought the part and replaced it myself. You have to take the entire thing apart. but it can be done.
