Panasonic KX-TGA660 handset display screen is white with black edges & black shapes in center with faint partial cracks. Is this fixable?

Seriously, what happens when you plug a regular phone directly into the outside lines? Or, better yet, plug a regular phone into jack 01 and TURN OFF THE POWER on the phone sytsem.
Now you have a phone wired to the outside line. If you can hear on those, then you may have a line current issue, or something else. If you can't, the telco is obligated to give you a line you can hear on. If they can't deliver, try an alternative like Vonage.
