You need to make sure the inner pot is making complete contact with the center heating element in the bottom center, and that the metal surface of the center contact is free of contaminants like oil or food particles. If this does not clear the error message you might need to replace the contact switch on the bottom of your unit. Switch replacement procedure depends on the model of your unit. Try doing a search for the repair manual for your particular model number.

SOURCE: I can't open my new Ultrex 2 Pressure cooker model 11302

It's almost certainly due to atmospheric pressure. Warm it slightly and it will open.

I had the same problem with an underwater dive torch. Left Johannesburg (1000 metres above sea level) and went to Mauritius (10 metres above sea level) and I couldn't open torch!

SOURCE: Salton RA3 3-Cup Rice Cooker Question

Put equal amounts rice and water (up to 3 cups only) in liner pot, plug in, put lid on, flip little front switch. 10-15 minutes later it will be done and the pot will switch to "warm" mode by itself. Gently fluff with paddle before serving. You can also add salt or other seasonings to the water/rice mixture before starting.

Hello I have a Savourex Pro Line Pressure Cooker/Insta Pot (off brand) model number: l-epc601b and it came without a manual.

I'm sorry to hear that you're missing the manual for your Savourex Pro Line Pressure Cooker/Insta Pot. Since it's an off-brand model, finding specific instructions or resources for that exact model may be challenging. However, I can provide you with some general guidance on how to use a pressure cooker, which should be applicable to your device as well.
Here's a step-by-step guide on using a pressure cooker:
1. Read the safety precautions: Before you begin using the pressure cooker, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the safety precautions mentioned in the manual. This will help you operate the appliance safely.
2. Prepare the ingredients: Start by preparing the ingredients for your recipe. Whether you're cooking meat, vegetables, grains, or soups, ensure that everything is properly washed, chopped, and ready to be cooked.
3. Add ingredients and liquid: Place the ingredients into the pressure cooker pot. Most pressure cooker recipes require a minimum amount of liquid (such as water, broth, or sauce) to create steam and build pressure. Follow the recipe guidelines for the appropriate amount of liquid.
4. Close the lid: Ensure the pressure cooker lid is securely closed. Some models may have a locking mechanism or an indicator to confirm that the lid is properly sealed.
5. Set the pressure release valve: Pressure cookers typically have a pressure release valve that controls the pressure level. Refer to your specific model's instructions to determine how to set the valve for cooking.
6. Select the cooking time and pressure level: Depending on your recipe, you'll need to set the desired cooking time and pressure level. Most pressure cookers have preset cooking programs for different types of food. Alternatively, you may need to manually set the time and pressure.
7. Start cooking: Once you've set the cooking time and pressure, start the cooking process. The pressure cooker will heat up and build pressure inside the pot. The cooking time will begin once the desired pressure is reached.
8. Natural or quick release: After the cooking time is complete, you have two options for releasing the pressure: natural release or quick release. Natural release involves letting the pressure decrease naturally over time, while quick release involves manually venting the pressure using the release valve. Refer to your pressure cooker's instructions to determine the appropriate method for your recipe.
9. Open the lid: Once the pressure is fully released, and it is safe to do so, you can open the lid. Be cautious of the hot steam that may escape when opening the cooker.
It's important to note that these are general instructions for pressure cookers. Your specific model may have additional features or variations, so it's always a good idea to consult the manual if you can find one or reach out to the manufacturer for support.

E5 on yeti pressure cooker means what and how do I fix it

https://www.crock-pot.com/service-and-support/product-support/product-faqs/express-crock-multi-cooker-faqs/express-crock-faq.html

Steam release value used incorrectly for non-pressure cook settings.

Remove the lid while using Brown/Saut?, or correctly position Steam Release Valve to "Release" while using Slow Cooking or Yogurt, and then unplug the unit for at least 5 seconds, re-plug it in and re-program your cook settings to begin cooking.

Can i use a crockpot liner in a instant pot on hi

Hello, Jan -

I would not use a slow cooker liner in an "instant pot." An" instant pot" is a type of pressure cooker which is electric. A "crock pot" (slow cooker) is not a pressure cooker. Note: The term "crock pot" is a trademark of Rival slow cookers. The Instant Pot name is trademarked by Instant Brands Inc.

You may be able to find a replacement liner for your model of electric pressure cooker.

If yours is an Instant Pot (trademark name), you may be able to find the liner for your model here:
https://store.instantpot.com/collections/parts

If your electric pressure cooker is a brand name other than Instant Pot, you will need to search for a liner for the specific make and model of your electric pressure cooker.

Best wishes.

Can I use boxed rice mixes in my rice cooker?

I made some Zatarrain's red beans and rice a couple of days ago and it came out fine.

My real question is what is the advantage of a rice cooker over a simple pot and wind up timer? My rice cooker sticks and has to be stirred, and it does not shut off automatically when the rice is done, or at least I stopped it early since it was done and not shut off. If I had waited the whole time it might have burned.

But, boxed rice should be no different than all the rice cooker meal recipes with meat and vegatables that get steamed.

Just follow the recommended water amount on the box.

But, you have to make sure that your rice cooker is big enough to hold the finished quantity on the box. If not, you may only be able to make 1/2 a box.
