DO NOT pry the ice off. You need to get a blow dryer and melt the ice off.

Moved you out of comptuers
how cute using slang for the makers name, wow.
DEFfield ,
Id say the defrost , devices in the appliance is dead.
it needs service. (many times there is timer bad inside)
did you read your users guide yet, see the pages marked
defrost
if it has no automatic defrost feature that mean you do that.
just like grandma did in 1950s.
1: unplug unit.
2: put pan of hot water in side
3: close door.
4: open door 1hr later and hope you can pry off ice, use a plastic scraper never metal.
I remember doing this in 1960, a boys chore.

You have a clogged defrost drain tube. best way is to thaw unit out. Your vents are being blocked so no air flow is pushed down.

SOURCE: Freezer ok fridge warm (15 degrees)

You have a hotpoint mistral f/f i take it in silver..

Check to see if the fan is running at the bottom on the back of the fridge its next to the compressor behind the panel ...
if the compressor is running and the fan is not then your fault is the fan..

IF the fan is running then its the sensors...

These are located in the freezer section, pull out the draws and remove the panel behind it.... six screws.......... you will c threes plugs at the top ledt hand side.. the yellow one is for the fridge the green one for the freezer.... replace both if your freezer is not working...

Also just below the freezer door there is a panel remove the panel and use a vaccumm to clean the fluff that has built up on the coils..

hope this helps if you need anymore help dont hesitate to ask...

by the way the sensors are called evap thermistors...

SOURCE: freezer is icing up and

Hi miss_i2000

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber

Your question is: freezer is icing up and fridge temperature has risen to 10 from 5. Also alot of condensation in the fridge and the fan doesnt seem to be working in fridge. Correct temperature on freezer -18 but ice. new frost free fridge freezer bought 1.5 weeks ago

This is no problem for you. You are under warranty and as long as you have not tryed to repair it yourself you are completely covered. Look for the manufacturer's warranty phone number on the paper work that came with it or call the sales man, he will be happy to track that down for you because he wants repeat business.
If you bought it used the only answer is to return it. You could get a local pro to repair it at yuor own expense but I wouldn't recomend that for a frige only 1.5 weeks old!

Why is my Defy F350 freezer not cold enough?

The flashing light is just warning you the freezer is no cold enough and a fault status exists.

Check that the cooling fins on the condenser are clear. Check the internal fan is working. It may need a top up of refrigerant gas.

Need to know how Kelvinator FD830 upright freezer temp lights work. 3 lights located on the top right outside corner.

The Kelvinator FD830 upright freezer has three temperature indicator lights located on the top right outside corner to show the current temperature range inside the freezer. The green light indicates that the temperature is within the safe operating range, while the yellow light indicates that the temperature is rising and nearing the upper limit. The red light indicates that the temperature has exceeded the safe operating range and may lead to food spoilage.

It's a freezer. The temperature should be minus 18.C, yours is showing 0'C. It is telling you the freezer is 18' hotter than it should be.

Red light flashing on tall freezer, temp down to -6

A flashing red light on a tall freezer indicates that the appliance has detected a temperature alarm, and the temperature inside the freezer has likely dropped below the desired range. A temperature of -6 degrees Celsius is much lower than the recommended temperature for a freezer (-18 degrees Celsius), which can cause frozen food to become damaged or spoiled.
To resolve the issue, you should first check the freezer's manual for troubleshooting tips and recommended actions. In general, you may need to adjust the thermostat to a higher temperature, remove any obstructions to airflow, or defrost the freezer if ice buildup is blocking the evaporator coils. If the issue persists, you should contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the freezer.

Good day. My Samsung fridge/freezer SR-S22FTFB runs normal for the first few hours when been switched on, both fridge and freezer temperatures were set for (- 18 and 2), both fans are running and when

Hello Danie;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

The normal setting for a freezer is -2 to +2 degrees F., and the normal setting for the fresh food section is +35 to +40 degrees F.

You only have one source of cooling and that is your freezer. With the settings that you have, you are asking your unit to do what it is not designed to do.

The ice maker is struggling because if it is a cast steel ice cube mold, the heater beneath it is not designed for the current to break the ice cubes free @ -18 degrees F., or if you have a plastic flex ice cube mold it is too ridged to flex enough to break the ice cubes free. Normally your ice maker should dump 8-10 times in a 24 hour period.

A note on food storage. Make sure you do not overload your freezer of fresh food section to the point where food product extends beyond the edge of the shelves.

Freezer wont freeze ice cubes

Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

I interpret that you are having trouble with the freezer of your Frigidaire refrigerator not freezing ice cubes. It appears that your refrigerator is not properly cooling. Make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly. Please allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your freezer status has changed successfully. Thank you!

When the power is on. error code is off. what is the possible problem?

Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

I see that your question is listed under Frigidaire Upright Freezer; however, please help me understand the issue you are experiencing. Is your freezer showing error code OFF? If so, the temperature control is in the OFF position. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating your freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Please allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. I hope these troubleshooting tips help you in some small way. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your freezer status has changed successfully.
