I have a kenwood head unit with 12 pin for a cd changer, I have connected a kenwood cd changer when I press the cd changer source on my head unit it's coming up aux ext but no changer options

It sounds like you're having trouble connecting your Kenwood CD changer to your head unit. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the connections: Ensure that all the wiring connections are secure and properly connected to the head unit and CD changer.
  2. Reset the head unit: Disconnect the power to the head unit, wait a few minutes, and then reconnect it to see if the issue is resolved.
  3. Check the compatibility: Make sure that the CD changer you have connected is compatible with your head unit and the 12 pin interface.
  4. Update software: If your head unit has firmware or software updates available, it may be worth updating to see if the issue is resolved.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Kenwood's technical support for further assistance.
It's important to handle the head unit and CD changer carefully to avoid causing further damage or issues. If you are not familiar with the installation and connectivity of a CD changer, it may be best to seek help from a professional for a repair.

My kenwood has locked me out i have a kenwood...kdc-mp628

contact kenwood with model no, and id no. off head unit casing they can give you the code to unlock.or if you have instruction manual that came with the head unit it might be in there.if not best buy will handle this problem, for a price.dont be shocked if kenwood does the same.after all its all about the money.ps if you feel that this head unit was stolen sometime in the past, and it was reported to kenwood, they will know .just to let you know.good luck.

Head unit keeps flipping in and out non stop

Seems like your player can't tell when the head unit is in or out.

This could be caused by a faulty/dirty/oxydized sensor (or switch) inside the unit which is activated when the head is fully out or in (could also be a bad cable or foil cable from the sensor/switch). If there's a certain part (a plastic pin or something alike) that presses the switch (or blocks/unblocks the sensor), check it, it might be bent or broken.

it could, however, be some other problem, but the head unit position sensor/switch is the first thing that comes to my mind.

Need sec code for kenwood KDC-MP4036U

Great!

There is a trick we used to use in the workshop to bypass the code using a remote control when working on the head unit on the bench. Go here for a procedure on how to do it. A FixYa rating is a great reward for solving this for you. Cheers
