The battery is fully charged, all the relevant lights are on but the battery sign that doesn't usually come on is now showing a blue light. What does this mean?

Are you positively sure that the batteries are good????? Bad batteries can give a high voltage indication but yet have no current which is what powers the device.

Batteries do wear out and this includes rechargables.

My srtrider will only go for a few feet then comes to an abrupt stop its abit like the back wheels jam..but then it will go for another couple of feet then come to a stop again there are no warning lights...

If your batteries are running very low, this is the most likely source of your problems. 80% of my scooter repairs involve batteries. The fact that your scooter runs is a good thing. The fact that it runs only a few feet and gives you no error code when it stops indicates the electronics have no battery power to indicate a flash code. The back wheels jamming probably relates to a no power condition causing the brake to lock (it takes power to release the brake and turn the motor)
This scooter uses two U-1 batteries that last between 1 and 2 years. From your description, I would replace the batteries first and make any further determination of any problems, if any, after that. These batteries are available locally at a large discount (between $50 and $160 each) and can be installed with basic tools, saving you money on the labor charge.
Shop around for the best price. Charge the new batteries fully before use. Enjoy.
Hope this helps.

Won't move lite on battery fully charged

I had this problem with the Cosco 4 wheel scooter. It turned out that one of the primary power lines under the shroud (back housing cover) was loose. It was not disconnected -- just loose. Apparently the loose connection would support enough current flow for the diagnostic circuit, but not enough to move the scooter (similar to using too small of a wire gauge in its effect). Once the power cable connector was tightened down so that the cable would not rotate on the connector, everything worked correctly.
The same symptoms could also be caused by a faulty power cable. If you have access to a multimeter, test the resistance along each cable path. If a path has an unusually high resistance, compared to the others, start to look for problems there.

The scooter is about five years old or so, batteries are two years old. Faithfully charged, and well taken care of unit, but, just recently the charger started heating up...very, very hot to the touch...why...

hi, the charger unit is breaking down, Sometimes the batteries can cause this problem but I think you find it the charger, when batteries get older they simply don't hold the charge as much as when new, also the way they deliver power can drop off quicker.

Lost directions to charge battery

you need to charge the specific power wheels charger into your battery.
I have a power wheels jeep and a peg perego gator but had to get 2 different chargers for them.
I charge my batteries up for about 18 hrs at a time and they seem to run fine.
