Fuse A 20 amp fuse is installed in your tractor's wiring harness to protect the tractor's electrical system from damage caused by excessive amperage. If the electrical system does not function, or your tractor's engine will not crank, first check to be certain that the fuse has not blown. It can be found under the hood mounted between the dash panel and fuel tank on the right-hand support bar. IMPORTANT: Always use a 20 amp fuse for replacement.
Have the battery load tested (any auto parts can do this for free) and make the engine spins freely.

If a small engine wont start its usually one of two problems, its not getting gas, or its not getting spark. easy way to find out if its getting a spark is to remove the plug, put it back back in the connector and just let it hang down while you try to start it. you should see a bright blue spark, if you dont try changing the spark plug. if its getting a spark come back on this site and i'll help you trouble shoot it.

Check the voltage on the battery to see if it is 12 volts or higher. If not, charge battery.
Then check all starting-related electrical connections-- sounds like there is a dirty connection somewhere if the battery is charged.

Loud ticking usually indicates near dead battery, take it out and charge it. If it still ticks you may need to replace it as they are only good for a few years.

a fuse will blow if: a positive wire is being grounded to the frame or two much current is being passed thru it.
