jose54tony, Schematics would only be available from Samsung. Rarely do they let them out of there tight grip!! You may need to look at the smps board and inverter board to find bad transistors that may have also died (muerto) when the electrolytic filter capacitors failed. 12fixlouie

Also visit all of these sites:-- www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and www.badcaps.net , www.lcdparts.net Remember tihs!! Replacing "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" may not be the problem!! Your problem may be in the circuit that generates the high voltage that starts and sustains running voltage for the lamps!!! It's called an "electronic ballast circuit" and because it is in a lcd CCFL monitor, it is refered to as the "inverter circuit" (dc to hi ac voltage) The new "curlieQ CFL energy efficient, screw-in light bulbs have "converter" electronic ballasts!! Yes, It sounds like the backlight inverter circuit is shutting down. No inverter power, no backlight. On some monitors the inverter circuit will shot circuit the power power supply which makes the power light flash on some it just kills the backlight. You can usually check with a flashlight. Hold the flashlight pointed at the screen and see if you can see any of the icons or background picture. If you can then it is the backlight circuit or backlight tubes, usually the circuit.
Got the same problem, happened yesterday for me, Did some research and it looks like its bad capacitors in the back, check out this page for more information... i'm taking mine to an electrician to fix today... luckily he's related and should be able to fix it on the cheap...
Try to replace C110 and C111 in the power supply circuit. These are 820uF caps and are in parallel. I had slow start and a flicker on this same monitor. Replacing the caps fixed it. Good luck, Ryan
Yes. There is no vertical deflection. The circuit that controls vertical deflection is bad. This is an easy fix for a TV tech. Take it to the TV repair shop.
