Blue spot on screen center. Peoples faces and show blue tint

I noticed a blue color displayed on peoples faces, this spot is in the right center of my screen about three to four inches in diameter. Also noticed it when watching "Wheel of Fortune" The white letter blocks show the Blue also. I have replaced the bulb once since purchase. My TV is about 2 and 1/2 years old

If you have a Sony LCD projection ..Theres good chance optical block needs replacing .This spot will get bigger and will eventually cover most of screen the longer you use it .needs repair. If there is no warranty on this unit..I would estimate repair around 6- 8 hundred dollars ..

White has turned pinkish

sounds like the linear adjustment is out of whack.....most projection type tvs, projection, lcd, plasma, have to be correctly aligned so that the color grids overlap each other to properly display the correct hue being created. you'd need the service code to re-adjust it, or have it serviced. also possible that one of the color grids is bad, but if you have all three (red, blue, green) colors showing on the entire screen area i would doubt it

I have a glow or a shadow around everything I watch...I tried the converse blue but i dont know if i did it right bc it didnt work...how can I fix that?

CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed. Notice how dull the colors are and how white the screen looks. The screen may also look red, orange, dull, etc.

TV set after fluid change. Notice how bright the colors are now. Everthing looks crisp and sharp again.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.

Giant blue spot on 50" Hitachi LCD HDTV

The problem is an expensive one. The blue display has become distorted due to excessive heat overtime. The blue display is closest to the lamp and gets most of the heat. The Light Engine must be replaced by a repair shop to correct the problem.
