Hi, I just bought a Navigon 7210 and before the software upgrade (requested/required) by Navigon Fresh application, all worked fine. After Navigon GPS software upgrade the following NO longer occur: - Automatic re-routing (even though that option is enable in the settings). - Time to actual destination is not longer shown while navigating. - Turn indication no longer shown (that is in 1.2 km turn right for example). The current Navigon GPS software version is 00.12.03 20080912. Your help much appreciated

Upgrade to Windows 7 or 10.

With the help of NAVIGON Fresh you can reinstall the software and thus return the device to the factory state. This can be necessary when the device does not work properly anymore or when the software freezes, crashes or otherwise does not behave as intended.

Please be advised that after reinstallation your saved data and favorites will be deleted. After reinstallation a software update or reinstallation of maps can be neccessary as well.

In order to reinstall the software and return the device to the factory state follow the steps detailed below:

1. Check if your device is on the compatibility list for the device restore
process.
2. Charge your device fully with the car or home charger.

3. Connect it via USB cable directly to your PC and turn it on.

4. Start the NAVIGON Fresh program and log in to your account with your
email address and password.

If NAVIGON Fresh is not installed on your PC, you can download the
software here.
5. Go to the menu bar at the top window border and click on
"My Navigon Device" and "Restore Device".

6. If NAVIGON Fresh does not recognize your device, please contact the
service center.

7. Follow the instructions and choose the device which you want to restore.

8. When the wizard has lead you through all the steps, click "next" to
begin the device restore.

9. As soon as the device restore has successfully finished, check for
updates for your device and install them.

Goto the Navigon website and downloaded their free program called 'Fresh' and update your map. Free within 30 days.

I had the same problem and this fixed it: Connect the navigon to your computer and go into the files directory and create 3 new empty folders, as follows: (You may want to back up your navigon 1st) After i created these empty folders, I was able to go into settings and turn Stree names on

Create these empty folders within MN6\sound folder.

if it says that it needs an upgrade its totally old!!
You should go back to those people you bought it from and ask 4 a refund.

Sounds as if the system software that runs the GPS has been corrupted. Your device should have come with a CD that has software that can be reloaded or a utility that can be installed on the PC that connects to the navigon website to download and install the software for you.

Might want to start with that.

I had the same problem with my unit.

Did you try to reload ALL the files back to the memory card?

This as a slow process,but it seems to go a little faster if you use a card reader.

Format card using FAT option,not FAT32.
