SOURCE: Ryobi Scroll Saw runs at maximum speed

Unfortunatly the speed controls cannot be repaired, they can only be replaced. You will have to find a Ryobi dealer in your area and get a new speed controler.

SOURCE: Ryobi cordless chain saw leaks oil. Runs fine.

The problem is, that it doesn't require 'movement or inertia', to draw/or pump the oil.
It syphons through, naturally.
The only solution is, to not store it with oil remaining in the reservoir.
That's it I'm afraid.
There is no way, to stop it from drawing oil through, without stopping it from working correctly.
Happy, (& safe;) chopping.
& plz don't give me the thumbs up, thanks :)

SOURCE: how to fix an old RYOBI 18 volt battery won't

take a hammer, and apply force. These batteries dont last forever... but i am serious about the hammer... you may be able to free up whats inside (if you know how a batterey works.)... also apply heat.. try to hit it from all angles than slam it down on the back and leave it sit... than try. I hope this works for you my dewalt batteries over the years have don this, and it works.. but BTW. it wont hold a charge for very long anymore.. the battery is pretty much garbage.

18 volt circular saw got hot one time and now will only run like it is using a dead battery, but is fully charged.

sounds to me like your battery has a bad cell in it would still read fully charged because the cells that are good are charged but still not a full battery

Ryobi 540A need manual runs slow/ chain too tight?

Actually, I own one of these battery operated Ryobi chain saws too. It is normal for the saw to run slow. Remember it is battery powered, not gas, so its not going to be a high rpm saw. Be patient whit it, and you'll get about 4-6 cuts per battery. I take mine camping. It sure is nice not having to listen to a two-stroke while relaxing in the woods! Dont plan on cutting lots of stuff, either, or you'll burn up the motor. This thing works great for very mild workloads.

Ryobi lithium batteries won't take charge

For others with the same problem (flashing red light won't go off)...make sure you FIRMLY PUSH the battery down onto the charger and engage the latches. Simply resting the battery on the charger will not work.

My 18 V ryobi chain saw doesn't activate

Batteries need to be stored fully charged and recharged every month or so while in storage. Batteries need to be kept cool. Try another battery to see if the battery is bad or if the saw is out of order. Contact Ryobi @ 800 -525-2579 The full extent of your message did not appear on my screen. So I am not sure this helped you.
