I cleaned my AEG KM8403101 M/wave Combi-oven but there's still brown muck on the roof, so using a plastic spatula (not sharp), some came off but so has some metallic material. What is it &

If I've damaged it, can the part be replaced & do you think the appliance is safe to use in the meantime? Thanks!

Why ask the blind this, find a appliance repair shop that does microwave ovens, and they look and tell you.
we can't look, or touch it here in any text box.
looking is big deal in the repair business and lots more.

SOURCE: Replacing lightbulb in Sharp R953M combi microwave oven

most microwave ovens built in the last 20 years do not have an
access panel to the light bulb. you must remove the screws on the back of the microwave that hold the outer sleeve in place.
Then pull upward and backward on the sleeve to disengage it
from the front lip of the chassis. the light bulb should be close to the front of the microwave behind the control panel. Some lights
are not unscrewable from the socket, but the socket and bulb
come as an assembly.

SOURCE: Paint off inside top of microwave exposing metal. Safe to use?

It would be dangerous to do so. Any exposed metal inside a microwave is source for sparks and is extremely hazardous. I would recommend getting the paint job done up, or even better, buy a newer model.

SOURCE: Metallic-like cardboard insert inside microwave is crumbling???

That piece is called the waveguide cover. Emerson calls it a spatter shield. Behind it is the hole where the microwaves enter the oven. Its job is to prevent food spatters from getting into the microwave source, and it's not a good idea to run the oven without it.

The cover is usually held in place by a plastic rivet that pulls out. I couldn't find the part number for the cover used in your model. But here is a link to a parts place that has several covers available:

http://www.a-1catalog.com/wavandstirco.html

If one of the covers shown looks like yours you can order it. Another possibility is to contact Emerson at 800-695-0098. This is the number they give to locate authorized servicers near you, and you might be able to order a replacement cover through them.

Hope this has helped. If so, please take a moment to rate the solution. Thanks for asking here!

SOURCE: Sharp front panel replacement for 42" LCD t.v. (Black)

I just removed my sticker today, and the sticky adhesive would not come my tv either. I tried alcohol first and to that only worked a little. Then I even tried warm soapy water(thats what sharps customer service told me to do) but that didnt work. So I put a razor scraper inside a rag with soap and water on it and that put little scratches on my new shiny black bezzel which made me very mad. The scratches arent really bad but who wants that on a new tv. FINALLY THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED WAS THE WD-40 NO MESS PEN. YOU RUB THAT ON THE STICKY ADHESIVE THEN WIPE OFF WITH WARM SOAPY WATER, WORKS REALLY WELL ONLY DID IT 2 TIMES. TO BAD I DIDNT DO THAT BEFORE ALL THE SCRATCHES. IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PEN I THINK YOU CAN JUST SPRAY REGULAR WD-40 ONTO A RAG AND WIPE.

SOURCE: Plastic pieces on glass jar and base are worn out and shaved down

I did the same thing. Order parts at thegourmetdepotco.com -- This problem is caused when you put the rubber gasket underneath the blade instead of above it. This causes two problems: 1. It lifts the teeth on the jar away from the teeth on the drive gear, which can grind down and break off the teeth, and 2. If the drive gear contacts the rubber gasket, it will melt the rim of the drive gear. In the future, to reassemble the jar after cleaning, first put the rubber gasket on the jar, then the blade, lastly screw on the base ring.

The plastic ties were left on the oven rack. One melted . How do I get the plastic off the bottom of a self cleaning oven?

Warm Method Both Good Housekeeping and the website Hunker describe this method for self-cleaning ovens. Hunker warns to NOT use the "cold method" which is reserved for other types of ovens. And the Good Housekeeping site says if the method proves unsatisfactory, that the floor or bottom plate of the oven might have to be replaced.

(That said, I suspect if you pull out oven racks and apply some ice to any plastic on it, the plastic might become brittle enough that tapping it with a spoon and prying at it with something wooden or finger nails might remove a lot of it. No scraping with the spoon!)

Here is the primary process for the oven.

Self-cleaning ovens require heat to remove the melted plastic. This method also works on heating elements with plastic on them. Step 1 Turn the oven on to the lowest heat setting. Only leave the oven on long enough to make the plastic soft and pliable.
Step 2 Scrape the melted plastic with a wooden utensil such as a spatula or spoon. The wood protects the surface inside the self-cleaning oven. When you get all off that you can, the self cleaning feature may burn off the rest. That WILL be smokey and exude an unpleasant smell while it does it. Open windows and keep pets out of the area (and yourself) while it goes through the clean cycle. Do NOT use a screw driver to try and remove the plastic.

I have only used my large oven three times and already the inside glass is brown. I have removed it but failed to clean it using all the regular cleaning materials. Can you suggest any way of cleaning...

Use a Stanley (or similar brand) window scraper. Hold it firmly and always flat against the glass and scrape that browm muck away. Be careful not to let the points on either side of the blade to dig in as this will scratch the glass.

This type of cleaning is carried out on ceramic/halogen hobs so is ok to use on interior slass oven doors.

Hope this helps

What type of oven cleaner can be used on the ge profile self cleaning ovens.

No chemical cleaners should be used on self cleaning ovens. Scrape the heavy soil with a plastic spatula and use the self clean feature. Once chemicals are used it will not clean satisfactorily again. Sorry..... Eric

B3101 AEG oven cuts out after approx. 15 minutes - why?

this is probably the thermal cut-out causing the problem. not sure where it is located but possibly on the roof of the oven or in the rear casing near the fan. however, the cause may be lack of ventilation to the unit as a whole
