Well I am not sure where exactly you want them to work but there are a few options that you can concider. First off the sell power inverters that allow you to plug into the cigarette lighter in your car and you are able to plug things into your car that normally only work in the house.. The main point of my answer is that they are powerd speaker that have to be plugged into an outlet to work, my best suggestion to you would be to take them speakers back and buy a set that do not require to be plugged in. If your intention is to use them on a laptop the make speakers that plug in usb and use the small current that runs through the usb cable to power the speakers, but that will cut into your laptop battery life. If you go to a computer store and I am not talking about Best Buy I mean a real computer store they will have knodgeable staff that will be able to show you the best solution to your problem.
I hope this helps.
