                           The card section of the camera must be cracked or damaged due to fallen. First option is to get repair from any expert, Second option is that you want to get the pictures present in your memory stick. for this you can get you snaps to put your card in a CARD READER and save it at you computer. In market various card readers are available with very low price. Buy one that suits yous memory stick.

Sometimes this message appears when force has been applied to the lens. Here are some things to try. Go into the setup menu and find "reset" to reset the camera. Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. The manual lists the following SD cards compatible:

4 GB SDHC Memory Card
2 GB SD Memory Card
1 GB SD Memory Card
512 MB SD Memory Card
256 MB SD Memory Card
128 MB SD Memory Card
64 MB SD Memory Card

An 8GB card may or may not work. If you try it, make sure it is an SDHC card. (Note: HC=High Capacity)
