None that I know of. If you're having problems with hard to start and backfire, I believe this is an overhead valve engine so likely it needs the typical 100 hr valve lash adjustment. I tried locating schedule for this engine but gave up.

What is timing over advance and how can it be fixed

You will have to re-do the timing.

Timings can be either advanced or retarded. Think of it like a clock. It’s normal setting is the 12 o clock mark. If you retard the timing it will be firing just before the 12 o clock mark. If you advance it, it will be just after.

So sounds like yours needs to be set back to the standard position

Ryobi 173cc petrol lawnmower has lost self drive is this an easy fix if so how

May be the transmission but they charge a small fortune for a new one. Go to lawnmower repair place and look for a junked unit with a good tranny. Replacement is not hard.

Ryobi how to

All bearings today are factory sealed and are not greaseable, at least in this country. I really doubt Ryobi makes a greaseable bearing on anything they manufacture. Be blessed.

Does anyone know whether these Yard Machines lawnmowers take straight gasoline or mix? I cant find an onwers manual online to clarify it. To be clear I seem to have a bit of an oddball machine;...

Straight gas. Look around, and you will see where to fill the engine with regular sae 30 oil, and on lawnmowers, if you have a place to fill it with oil, you don't mix oil with the gas.
