SOURCE: error on Brother Innovis 4000d sewing machine
You probably need to take it in for service. Thread guide pulse motor (TG-PM) is jammed with thread. There is a new shield that that can install to keep this from happening again.
You can gently try to move it with the machine on and see if that works, it is the little shuttle that goes up and down on the front of the machine, it is probably stuck where you can see it.
good luck!
SOURCE: Brother se- 270 D sewing machine reads a FO1
I have the Brother SE_270D myself. 3 months after purchasing the machine brand new it started doing some really strange stuff like resetting itself in the middle of stitching out an embroidery design and it would take off on it's own while I was using just the sewing portion of the machine. The only way to stop it was to manually shut down the machine. Then I finally was able to get the error code F01 error. I had to call up the Brother customer service line and they could not tell me either, just that I must take the machine into an authorized service center. Upon doing so I was told that one of the circuits on the boards inside went bad, it would usually foul-up when it heated up after about 15 minutes or so. They fixed it and thankfully it was under warranty. Hope yours is too. Need to have your receipt of purchase. I think it's within the first year. Hope that answered your question. Good luck.
