If the freezer is working properly but the refrigerator is not cooling, there could be a few different issues causing the problem. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

  1. Check the thermostat setting: Ensure that the thermostat is set to the appropriate temperature. If it is set too low, the fridge will not cool properly.
  2. Check the condenser coils: The condenser coils may be dirty or clogged, preventing the refrigerator from cooling properly. Clean the coils with a brush or vacuum.
  3. Check the door seal: Make sure the door seal is tight and not damaged. If the seal is not tight, cold air will escape and the refrigerator will not cool properly.
  4. Check the evaporator fan motor: If the evaporator fan motor is not functioning properly, it could cause the refrigerator not to cool.
  5. Check the compressor: If the compressor is not functioning properly, the refrigerator will not cool. You may need to call a professional to check the compressor.
  6. If you have tried all the above steps and the problem persists, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional for further assistance.
Please note that it's also possible that there could be other issues causing your refrigerator not to cool, so it may be best to seek the help of a professional if the above steps do not resolve the problem.

SOURCE: Haier Refridgerator

Your freezr drain is blocked or frozen. What you need to do is remove the ice rack then in the front of the freezer you will see 2 or 3 plastic plugs on the freezer floor remove the plugs and there might aso be some 1/4 inch screws farther in on the freezer floor. also remove the back of the back of the freezr and then lift out the bottom floor. under the evaporator you will see a lot of ice or just fod blocing the drain. I will bet its all full of ice. Carefully remove all the ice and hot water will help once you get the buk of it out. The hot water will make sure the drain is not blocked with ice. Once its al clear install in the reverse order and things should be good. This is a common problem with this unit.Good Luck

SOURCE: haier fridge- freezer fine, fridge not getting

The small cooling fan in the freezer compartment that sends chilled air to the food side is defective and needs replacement.  Sometimes that are only frozen stuck.

When you receive advice from this website you have to understand that without the item in front of us, we are only able to provide "a best guess" as to what the problem might be based on you description of the defect.  If you haven't described a clear and precise description of the defect you decrease the chances of an accurate reply.  Thank you.

SOURCE: Upper section of refrig. not cooloing. Remainder

check to make sure the freezer fan is turning. This should be inside the freezer unit at the top. It is probably behind an access panel.

If this fan is not turning, not enough cold air will move to the refrigerator side to keep it cold enough. If the fan has died, it will have to be replaced.

I recently purchased a used apt sized Sanyo fridge (freezer on top). The problem I'm having is the light comes on & motor sounds like it's running but it won't get cold. Neither fridge nor freezer...

Is there a light inside? If so, maybe, the light isn't going off, when the door is closed. Just food for thought. I'm not an expert with this equipment. Check the thermostat. Is it set correctly? Go all the way one way, and see, if it makes a difference, if not, go the direction. Good luck.

Whirlpool refrigerator is not cooliing refrigerator half not sure evaporator fan working model et1mhkxmb08

If the fan is working, then there is likely ice build-up in the vent between fridge and freezer. If you remove the farthest rear panel in the freezer and then pull the venting in the fridge and clean out all the ice, then the air can flow to the fridge again. It is also recommended to keep coils and compressor free of dust and make sure the drain hose is allowing water to drain into the drip tray in the back bottom of the unit.

Older model fridge freezes on the refrig. side

check the damper door and see if its iced up this is between the refrige and freezer compartments and lets cold into refrige from freezer,if it ices up in the open condition the refrige control cant change the temp, defrost the door and then see if the control moves the door,if so also check the door seals to make sure they are sealing good so as not to let warm air in that can condense and freeze things like the damper door

Have a 14.3 cu ft top mount refrig/freezer bought in 3/04. the fan in the freezer is making an awful noise

Eventualy, the bushing inside the fan motor because of continious usage will need to be replace , this parts are replaceable. it's been five years now, and i suggest it's time to general maintenance check up your fridge to avoid more problems.
