If you can't find it, how do you know it exists? I don't see it on the Sony Website
If you were instructed by Tech Support to upgrade the BIOS, then they should have provided information on how to obtain it.

Sony VAIO Pcg-7z1l update BIOS

Here are the Download and Installation Instructions:
  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the PHBSYS-14612500-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the PHBSYS-14612500-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the "BIOS Update Utility" screen, click "Next".
  5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
  6. At the "VAIO BIOS Update Tool" screen, verify the new version to be installed is R0131J9, and then click "Update".
  7. At the "WBFLASH" window, click "OK" to update the computer BIOS.
  8. At the "BIOS Update successfully completed" window, click "OK".
  9. The computer will shutdown automatically.
  10. Wait for 30 seconds then power the computer on.
After the computer restarts, the installation of the BIOS Update is complete..

You probably have a mbr virus.

Download The following iso listed below. It is the latest version of the Kaspersky rescue disk. You need to burn it to a CD with a program like Imgburn (Which is also FREE like the iso file). Then you need to boot from the CD and run the scanner. It should fix you right up.

Visit the sony website and go to the page for your computer. There you should see the "drivers" section, under the drivers you should be able to find the mouse option. Reinstall the drivers. After that, go to control panel and click mouse and make sure that your scrolling option is enabled
