Its either a flame sensor or you are tripping limit or the false sensor is sensing flames are rolling back instead of going into your secondary heat exchanger. If thats the case you should contact your local HVAC shop luckily you have a carrier furnace and heat exchangers are under full lifetime warranty because of a design flaw. Otherwise youd he looking at a hefty bill
Locate and clean the Flame sensor with emory cloth or brand new dollar bill. You will be good to go. Do not use sand paper or harsh abrasives!
SOURCE: Blinking oven and heating Lights
for no reason the cleaning light went on, even though the oven was not on. The oven light and heating light were alternating each blinking 5 times. The door locked up, too. It seemed to think it was in a cleaning cycle. Any way, problem solved by throwing off the main breaker and all is working fine since... except now, for no reason the oven fan, not the exhaust fan, stays on all the time!
SOURCE: Clicking noise on cooktop even when all burners ignite
I have a viking gas cooktop. The ignitor on one of my front burners wouldn't stop clicking even after the flame ignited. I swapped that ignitor with the ignitor from a back burner, expecting that the problem was with the ignitor and that the back burner would start to click incessantly, but at least I'd have my favorite front burner for use. Instead, the front burner was then only clicking 50% of the time and the back burner was fine, suggesting the problem was related to the burner not the ignitor. I pulled the front ignitor a bit away from the burner and now it is working normally. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: burners with yellow tipped flames
I have a G.E. natural gas cook top. All 4 burners have a lot of yellow flame all of a sudden. Is there an adjustment for this I could make? Please explain the best you can.
SOURCE: Furnace comes on for 1 min then kicks off, repeats this cycle
MY FURNACE WOULD RUN FOR ABOUT TWO MINUTES , THEN THE BURNER WOULD GO OUT BUT THE BLOWER WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN , LONG ENOUGH TO COOL THE FAN LIMIT SWITCH DOWN , THEN IT WOULD START THE PROCESS ALL OVER. WHAT FIXED MY PROBLEM WAS THE SECONDARY HEAT EXCHANGER THAT IS LOCATED JUST ABOVE MY BLOWER MOTOR WAS PLUGGED WITH DIRT , WHICH RESTRICTED THE AIR FLOW , CAUSING THE FAN LIMIT SWITCH TO REACH 200 DEGREES AND SHUT THE BURNER DOWN . YOU'LL HAVE TO TAKE THE BLOWER MOTOR OUT TO GET TO IT , BUT MY FURNACE IS RUNNING PERFECT NOW
SOURCE: I have a Carrier Infinity 96 gas furnace with no heat
That means that the furnace is throwing a code to trouble shoot whats wrong. Most of the time, furnaces will have a code list on the inside of the door cover to explain what each code means, some of them don't. Its hard to say what it could be without knowing where to start. However, answering a few questions with someone knowledgeable over the phone if possible could help speed things up, but it would involve you being at the furnace and seeing what happens before it throws the code. If you do have a code list, this would help tremendously.
Testimonial: "Great Solution. I spoke with the installer of the unit this morning and went through everyting you mentioned. It was as simple as a loose connection."
