Contact Google/Gmail (probably by phone) and explain the issue.
If you can provide enough information, they can get you back in to the account, if not, you either remember the password or the account is gone forever.

how do you mean "i got my unlock pattern wrong", I don't really understand.
Then as for the g-mail account, there is no way you can access your g-mail account if you cannot remember your username (account). But if you can remember the username for the account, then the password can be recovered.

Because you posted this under the HTC Droid Incredible, I assume you're attempting to change your password on the phone.
You may find it easier to recover your Google password using their website on a computer.
Open your browser and navigate to https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery. This site will guide you through resetting your password.
Once you have reset it, use your new password to log in on your phone.

By resetting Samsung Galaxy, while phone is turned off,
press and hold volume up, home key simultaneously then power the phone occationally,a loader comes out and choose wipe or full reset option then the phone automatically restart. Now everything is reset to it's original default settings.
