sounds like you have phone service thru the internet. if so, unplug your router for 10 seconds and then plug back in. give it about 5 minutes to reset. This might do the trick?

try to check the telephone wire connections. or try to use the other phone box to test.

I am sure you have tried a proper power cycle. Sometimes that will remedy the situation but more often than not you have to reinitialize the mother board and reprogram the system. If reinitialization does not work, then you have to replace the mother board. That is probably why the repair man charges so much.

The best way to protect the system from power surges is to put in a battery backup Uninterpreted Power Supply(UPS). Any brand is fine and the more you pay for one directly effects how long it will operate while on battery backup. If you just need protection from power surges or brown outs a small one should do you just fine. Some brands I am familiar with are APC and Trip-lite. Several brands out there. Make sure you read customer reviews on the one you might purchase. They are very helpful in making a decision.

Vodavi STS are notorious for having an easily corrupted database.I like the STS a lot, but that is my biggest complaint about it. Hope this helps in the future.

If power cycling does not work, the next step would be to reinitlize the phone system. Caution, this will erase all programming and revert back to factory default. I have found over the years that the STSe Database can get corruppted and cause this display read out. If power cycling does not fix it this usu does. If it does not then there is a motherboard issue. Good Luck.

DO NOT DO A RESET, you will loss all of your programming. get me the model of the vodavi, and I will get you the default password of find out how to reset it without resetting the system

Phone isn't programmed as SLT in system

The technician had to remove the memory module as the board tried to reset itself but the memory module was corrupted and would not allow the board to reset itself. The phone were reprogrammed and are working.
