Seme-nedis can supply repair kits for these sets at reasonable cost. I have fitted the kit and have been very pleased with it.

When powering on tv with remote or the tv power button it clicks on and then right off.

I can tell a long story, but the TV is defect. Would it make any difference what I could tell you it is the main bows, the backlight to the power supply? if not, please contact a tech to a repair shop. First ask them what it will cost, because today net TV's cost less than the ones you bought 1 or 2 years ago. It could be w repair is more expensive than a complete new TV, same size but a better resolution.

Tv repair

It may be possible, but I would need the full model number. What is the problem with the power supply? Depending upon the problem, it may not be worth the cost.
Keep us posted.

Hi, I used to be a TV Technician and I am considering buy a Samsung PS50Q91HD 50"Plasma TV with an alleged Power supply problem. Just wondering how difficult that would be to replace and how...

I would not advise you to buy a non working TV specially when Plasma is moving out and the new technologies with 3D- LED is around bringing the prices down.
Also the cost is not the factor but if there is fault on the mother board then you are stuck and would have wasted money on a junk. So please do not commit UNLESS you can source a power supply unit - SMPS unit - and make sure that it is the ONLY issue. Let the TV work and then after seeing a good picture you can take tbhe risk... but the cost is also important and must be checked out.

Will not trun on

Hi, I can suggest you few ways to check why it wont turn on

Please try pluggin in different wall sockets to check if the previous wall socket has gone bad
Please check the power LED, If it is on then there is power supply, somewhere inside the TV the connection must be lost...
These are the suggestions i can give as i dono the TV model and name :)

Please feel free to ask for more help:) Thank you

My Pronto 51 won't drive and is flashing 5 lights. My book says it's a left park brake problem. How much would a new left park brake cost?

Hi I really don't know the cost of the brake because it depends where you get it. You can contact Invacare tech support @ 1-800-333-6900 and ask about the brake and the cost With some chairs the brake is part of the motor and can't be sold seperately. Did Medicare buy your chair? If so they will pay for the repair. If they did contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 and ask to get your chair repaired. Even if Medicare Didn't pay for your chair both of these Services can quote you a cost of repair Hope this helps

Hi, All the lights on display are off. The system plays, but no info is displayed

some of possibilities are:

a) a burnt out LED (light emmiting diode) inside the display (could be tricky or difficult to change it) or a faulty LED power supply line

b) if the light source is an electroluminescent panel, possibly the panel itself or the power supply is faulty (electroluminescent panels use an elevated voltage power supply which is in the shape of a small box somewhere inside the housing, with two wires going to the panel - it is also possible that the power supply is not in the form of a box but is in fact an integral part of the circuitry).

c) a loose wire contact - check the connectors for any broken wires, oxidation on contacts or loose solder points for connectors on the circuit board

Anyway, these are just possibilities so the trouble may as well be somewhere else in the system.

Power supply

Its possible that it is the power supply. If you wanted me to take a loot at it I could but you would need to remove the power supply from the TV and ship it to me. The power supply has been a common fail point of TV's, VCR's and other home electronics in the past several years. Let me know if this is something you would like to discuss further. I just need contact info.
