I recently repaired my coolpix s5100 and it seems like there's some firmware updates for it. i wanted to update it. according to the settings menu its current version is 1.0 (probably factory version)
I would suggest you go to the Nikon support site and see if there is a version you can download from there.

If you are referring to German web site page showing a dwl-g700ap_fw_revB_v213b06.zip file be sure to follow the instruction to UNZIP the web_dwlg700ap_v200_r11_0408.bin file:
DWL-G700ap Firmware Update
- Browser starten
- Konfiguration des DWL-700ap aufrufen (Standard IP 192.168.0.50)
- oben auf Tools
- links auf Firmware
- auf den Knopf Durchsuchen klicken
- die Firmware Datei (web_dwlg700ap_v200_r11_0408.bin) auswählen
- auf Apply klicken
Wenn die Firmware installiert und der DWL-700ap dann neu gestartet ist klicken Sie oben auf Tools/System/Restore to Factory Default.
Danach ist die Firmware übernommen.
If you did not unzip the bin file router cannot run it as firmware update
More over be sure to run the update via LAN cable connection (no WLAN)

latest 2,3 on my bluray,,bdp 1400, samsung,, still showing menus at chapters on several discs,,inc avatar..this will stop me buying new discs, till they sort out upgrades,,may be a 6 months wait,, but worthit to avoid this ****,hassle and hair loss.
