Why does Proselect thermostat keep defaulting to 70 degrees?

Hi,

To operate it manually, you'll need to review the steps in the manual to turn off the automated settings and update the default temperature as well.

Thank you.

Avallon beverage cooler will not allow me to enter lower then 40 degrees , has anyone had had this issue?

Try disconnecting from the mains for 15 minutes or so in an attempt to reset it. Or it may have a control panel lock on it? Can you go up and down with temperatures? 38' is the ideal temperature for beer.

I have a 1f86-244 thermostat and while the heat is running my temperature is set at 64 degrees and will find it still running when the air temperature says 66 degrees. This has just started.

Check it is in FA (FAST) mode.

Factory reset. You can reset the thermostat by press and holding both temperature up/down buttons and move the SYSTEM switch from OFF to HEAT. This also resets the factory defaults to the configuration menu.

Reprogram any nonstandard settings.

If the thermostat has power, has been reset and still does not function correctly contact your heating/cooling service person or place of purchase.

Water pressure good, thermostat calling for heat boiler ignites , heats to 80, turns off, drops to 40 reignites - keeps this cycle going. temp sensor? return sensor? any help appreciated

the thermostat has an upper and lower setting at which point to turn the unit off and back on
most have a 10 degree variation between off and on so that a steady temp is maintained
check to see if the lower setting can be raised closer to the 80 degrees
if not consider a new thermostat with closer settings

Error code 22 on thermostat

I see so many problems with these. make sure your thermostat is set to heat. if its hard wired simply turning it to the degrees it shows a bit past, should turn it on.If not check the heat source for any blinking lights which means a malfunction on the heaters it self... If you checked fuse box sometimes to flick the switch to off and back on does the trick to reset it.

I have a frigidaire stove that heats to 50 degrees hotter than the know setting. Can it be adjusted to read correctly?

There is a calibration method to adjust the oven thermostat plus/minus 35 degrees if it is a digital display. The method varies depending on the model range. This calibration method is used to adjust the thermostat if it is not keeping proper tempature. For example if you are setting the oven to 350 and the actual temp it is keeping is 325 then you could use the calibration method to adjust it plus 25 degrees to correct the temp. Just so you know electric ovens will keep a pretty even temp but gas ovens will vary by 40 or more degrees to keep an "average" temp. For example the burner will come on when the oven is 330 degrees and turn off at 370. 330+370 then divide by 2=350. So a oven thermometer may not show you the temp you set it at in a gas oven but does not mean the oven temp is off.

OVEN TEMP. VERRIES 40*

The problem is probably caused by the oven thermostat that has gone out of range.
If it is out 40 degrees where ever you set it, then you can compensate by setting it 40 degrees lower, or alternatively, replace the thermostat.
Trust this helps you.
