What If app is designed to run on Apple mobile operating system and the other version is designed for Android mobile operating System or for Tablets.
In theory you would need a Android emulator program to trick Google play store into thinking your p.c is an android device .
(have not tried this myself just logical reasoning)

I would go into google App Store and delete this app. I would find another even a desktop one would be beneficial over a non working app. Even go on the web and download one from there.

In setings of tablet look for something akin to 'accounts' see if you can log in there, if not simply open the app gmail or play store and login through the app
