Likely the machine answer option is set to AUTO. This may be change to any number of rings from 2 - 9.

To set number of rings;

1. [MENU] #211
2. Select number of rings with up/down key.
3. [OK]
4. [OFF/PWR]

Making an intercom call

can some one please help us, we have 8 yr old kx-f2700,it was perfict but now it stop ringing and there is no any identifacation of ring on screen of some one ring us up.there is not any problem out going call/incoming call but the ring.battries ar new and no any error message, the volume is high 8 but still not ringing. thanks

Are they cordless phones?If they are they get there dial tone from the base.If there is a blinking red light on the hand sets they lost communication with the base.Check your user manual to see if you need to program them to the base.
