You must read the instruction booklet that came with your Dish network receiver or the manual that came with the remote. Try going to replacement remotes and searching for the remote control model to pull up all the info about it. If they have the manual it will show for download.

I cant configure the remote RCA RCU403 Universal Remote for dish network.

Normally when your channels change on its own, you may have a neighbor who also has DISH Network with both remotes (yours and theirs) having the same remote addresses. We would readdress the remote to the receiver giving your remote a new address. Since the remote is also draining batteries, this indicates the remote is not functioning correctly. Please call 1-800-333-3474, talk with Technical Support; we need to replace your remote. I hope this helps.

I have a Coby TFTV1923 LCD tv and i cannot find a code for the dish network remote for the life of me. And i have tried scanning the codes, and that didn't work either. can you help with with programming...

EchoStar dish network remote control #132577 will not reset

This is hopefully resolved by now, but I do have some simple steps to give you if you have any questions. Follow the link below, it will walk you through getting the remote set up. The post is not too detailed on exactly what is going on, but to me, it sounds like you want to get the remote reprogrammed, and the link below will help. Hi L. Pruett, my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and withthe Durabrand TV there are a couple of codes we do have for that TV. The threedigit codes will be 220 and 233 and what you will want to do is hold down the clearTV button until all the mode buttons light up. Press one of the three digitcodes I have sent press the # button and then press the Red TV button on theremote, the TV should have turned off and if not after trying the two 3 digitcodes I will send you a link for a Power Scan; http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions- Mike H.
