Emerson led tv only says hdmi in the top right corner

I had the same problem with my 50 zenith when it was new. It needs a HDMI board replaced.

Ether the hard drive is bad like ctf1800 said or the ide cable has come lose or if you liek to mess around in you xbox you might have changed the jumper on the harddrive it should be on cable select.

Something is wrong whith the HDMI jack it's self, or the electronic switching is not sensing a signal is present. In either case the board that has the HDMI jack you are using needs to be replaced. Most all these boards are double printed, Multi-layered or both which prevents replacing the jack it's self. I do have a question though, do you only have on HDMI jack on the unit or do you have another one available.

Hi, try the following
1 using the av lead and not the hdmi so plug the av lead into your tv and make sure your tv is on the correct input
2 turn the ps3 on at the back
3 now press and hold the on button down until the ps3 switches itself back off
4 then press the on button again, doing this resets the video mode from hd back to standard av so once you have done this you should have a picture on the tv, if not check your on the correct input
