This scan happen when the button part on the switch is `dirty` the carbon inside the touch switch accumulates, its a full strip down and cleaning the circuit board part of the switch with a non solvent alcohol based cleaner.

Patch not saving, write button is not working from the day i bought.i bought is 2nd hand.plez help

If you buy a second hand, it may have been damaged in mini switch (tact switch) under the WRITE button. You need to replace the tact switch. Easy and inexpensive, you can do yourself, only with a little knowledge of soldering

You may also try the FACTORY RESET.
Restoring the GT-10 to the settings made at the factory is referred to as a "Factory Reset."
Not only can you return all of the settings to the values in effect when the GT-10 was shipped from the factory, you can also specify the range of settings to be reset.

If you do this"Factory Reset", all the setting on user memory (that you create) will be erased, so backup your setting before doing this steps.

I have the Roland Boss Rc-20xl Loop Station, and I'm running off of batteries I have been since I got the pedal. In the middle of recording a phrase the pedal shut off and started resetting itself...

Hello!
I am not positive on this but I would try to clear all of the loops. Try holding the right pedal for about 5 seconds.
If that does not work, hold the right pedal for about seconds while you turn off the unit. Release the right pedal then turn the unit back on.
Hope that helps!

I actually use boss ml 2.. it works just fine for the past few month. but all of a sudden now. its just wont work. i even change the batteries. what happen was. while i was playing. it suddenly shuts off...

The first thing I would do would try a 9V AC Adapter to rule out a battery issue completely. But if you have changed the battery already, this shouldn't be the issue. Does the red light come on at all? The next thing I would check involves removing the back cover of the pedal and making sure the input/output jacks are okay. Do you see any hanging wires, loose solder, or smell a burnt smell? If you have only had this pedal for a few months, you may be able to send it back to BOSS for replacement under your warranty.

I have the Boss RC-50 Loopstation. It has been great. Perfect operation for about 8 months. Today, when I started to use it, I noticed that I couldn't select "Phrase 1" by tapping the pedal....

Likely the switch contacts for that pedal have failed. You will probably have to get it repaired. Stomping on the pedals is a good way to damage them, but the switches are often marginally designed anyway...

If you can access the switch you could try getting some CRC226 available at Home Depot in the electrical department into the switch, but often the internal parts of switches fail.

My MT-2 wont distort my guitar.

A few things to try....

Usually the adapter will over ride the battery when used.
1) Make sure your 1/4" cables are working properly without the pedal "in-line".

2) Take out battery, and use just the adapter only. Make sure it is the correct and proper adapter that works with Boss. Usually the PSA-120. If you are not using a Boss Adapter, make sure yours is a direct replacement with same specifications. 9V/200mA. And "tip negative". DO NOT use Radio Shack stuff, nothing against them, but there adapters just don't mix well with Boss products and the like.

2) Try just the battery, no AC adapter. Remember to unplug the input when not in use. Saves battery.

Basic rule of thumb...when using correct AC adapters for all your pedals all the time, and all sounds good, then take out the batteries.

If you still experience problems, it would be an internal IC chip most likely. From there post another question maybe.

The pedal wont turn on, when i step on it to switch on there is no action i think it may have something to do with the switch under the pedal

Try moving the switch button with your finger... they usually are alternate action with a definite click each timeyou press. If it is just "mush", then replace the switch. If it clicks then verify power supply is good.

Looking how to get a more distorted sound but cant find it. any recommendations

If you have 2 "volume controls" such as "vol" and "master vol" or "vol" and "gain", try turning them in opposite directions about 1/8 turn at a time, checking the sound at each increment, then reverse both if no results.
Driving the input a bit harder by turning up your instrument will help some also.
If that does not do enough for you, try a nice distortion pedal like a Boss Overdrive (the yellow one).

Happy harmonics !

The Distortion Pedal has no effect on the sound.

i got d same problm. i fixed it myself.. check all the op amp ic's if they're all gud. if youre not sure, replace all 4 rc4558 ic's. in my case, i still felt a very small output signal from my pedal (equalizers, vol n gain ctrls r gud since they vary when i change the setting) so i suspected that one or 2 of my ic's were damaged. i only replace d last two op amps which my signal passes thru. i also had this problm with my marshall drive master. same diagnosis and solution. check your schematics
