There is an electrical short. I recommend you do not try to Start it again, it can cause a fire.
If it is out of Warranty, buy a new microwave

If it is still in Warranty immediately have it repaired

You have a dead short. Check the transformer wiring for burnt between the capacitor, its resistor leading to magnatrometer. If that is ok you may have a lose wire leading to a bad start switch or door interlock.

I like the Panasonic Inverter Geius Prestige series for an all around replacement. Should you are looking for an upgrade.

SOURCE: EFI fuse Keeps Blowing

I had the same problem at one point. My issue was a bad grounding point from the battery to the chassis. I would say check all of your grounding points.

SOURCE: tail light fuse keeps blowing

Seen this before ,,, You have to disconnect the ground wire from the radio to the vehicle... What has most likely happened is that the radio earth has been connected to the previous radio's illumination wire.
What will appear to be a ground connection while the side lights are OFF is in fact a positive that acts a a ground connection untill the side lights are turned ON
The radio should be earthed properly there after..

Whirlpool microwave fuse has blown multiple times

It depends on which fuse and when it blows. Wish you had mentioned that.

But usually it's a defective door switch or door switch mount.

If the fuse blows at random times while it's cooking, it may just be a loose fuse holder. Those have to be replaced due to metal fatigue, not just squeezed tight with pliers.

If it blows as soon as you hit "Start" to begin cooking, you have a shorting high voltage capacitor.

If it blows when you open or close the door, you have a loose or defective door switch or latch.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Microwave keeps blowing fuse

There are three possibilities, a bad magnetron, high voltage capacitor, and diode. In rare cases the high voltage transformer will be an issue but unlikely, if the microwave oven is more than 5 years old consideration should be given in replacement.

Please help me

Q - My microwave went dead when I opened the door ( same problem as closed the door ).
A - This often is a stuck or faulty door switch and it has blown the interior microwave fuse.
Q - My microwave is completely dead.
A - House fuse has blown or interior fuse inside the microwave has blown ( usually a part inside the microwave makes this fuse blow ) Sometimes a bad fuse holder inside the microwave cannot hold the fuse tight enough and the fuse will blow as well.
Q - My microwave blows the fuse inside itself as soon as I push the start button.
A - Usually a shorted high voltage capacitor...see components section.
Q - I burnt something in my microwave and now it is dead...help!
A - The fuse inside the microwave may have blown, but more commonly the flame/oven thermostat has sensed the over cooked food and the flame/oven/cavity thermostat has opened up - Info on that
Q - My microwave seems to shut off every once in a while, what might be wrong?
A - Make sure you hear the fan is still operating in your microwave. Next is to make sure the air intake grill on your microwave is not plugged up with air borne dust and dirt.
Q - The microwave makes a loud "hum or buzz" noise but will not heat up the food?
A - 9 times out of 10 this is usually this is a bad magnetron, the other time is sometimes a bad high voltage diode. See components section.

Fuses keep blowing out

In case it's still helpful, I'll inject a little sanity into the replies.

If the fuse blows as soon as you hit Start, it's probably a shorted high-voltage capacitor. That's usually economical to repair.

If the fuse blows a few seconds after you hit Start, it's probably a shorting high-voltage transformer. That's usually not economical to repair.

It's not radiation (non-ionizing RF by the way) that's the hazard, it's the voltages.

Blown fuse

Be doubly sure your microwave is unplugged first, of course! Be sure the fuse is not loose in the holder. If you can rotate it in the holder easily with just a thumb and finger, then it's too loose and the holder should also be replaced. That looseness causes a heat buildup, which makes the fuse melt open inside over time. If the new fuse blows as soon as you hit START then you likely have a shorted high-voltage capacitor. If it blows again a few seconds or minutes after you hit START, then you likely have a bad high-voltage transformer or magnetron. It's not inherently unsafe to replace a fuse, as long as you heed the safety rules. The microwave does contain and prodcue voltages that can be instantly lethal. Fuse keep blowing up

You have a short in the system. removeing the fuse was not a good thing to do. The fuse in a microwave helps keep the system from an overload which can and I have seen this blow-up. The micro pump inside might have a dead short it,

Microwave not works

WARNING: Microwave ovens are the most dangerous consumer appliance to service due to up to 5,000 V at high current inside. Even with the power off, there is a HV capacitor that can produce a lethal kick. This capacitor must be discharged before touching anything in the microwave generator circuitry. DON'T remove the cover yourself unless you fully undertand the SAFETY issues involved in working inside a microwave oven. A microwave oven is possibly THE MOST DANGEROUS common consumer product to service. About the only "easy" fix would be a blown fuse, if it keeps blowing, don't go any further unless you know what you are doing. Your likely options are a blown high voltage cap, diode, or the magnetron. Good luck(but luck has nothing to do with it ;] )
