Which blade are you using? You need a blade with a lot of teeth per inch to cut any thin metal.

How to replace quick release blade holder on Ryobi jigsaw

To replace the quick release blade holder on a Ryobi jigsaw, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Unplug the jigsaw and remove the blade.
  2. Turn the jigsaw over and locate the blade holder.
  3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the blade holder in place.
  4. Once the screws are removed, you should be able to lift the blade holder out of the jigsaw.
  5. Insert the new blade holder into the jigsaw, making sure that it is properly aligned with the blade clamp.
  6. Secure the blade holder in place using the screws that you removed earlier.
  7. Reinsert the blade into the blade holder and make sure that it is properly secured.
  8. Test the jigsaw to make sure that the blade holder is properly installed and functioning as intended.
It's important to be careful when replacing the blade holder on a jigsaw, as the blade is sharp and can cause injuries if handled improperly. Make sure to use caution and follow the steps carefully to avoid accidents.

How do you reinstall the blade locking cap on a tho I jog saw

With your new blade locked into its slot, you can now loosen the sawblade screw by turning it counterclockwise until all pressure has been released and then put back on the small-cap over the top of the jigsaw before turning clockwise again with your hex wrench.

I can not find my instructions for the Dewalt321 jigsaw so i therefore cannot replace a blade that fell out

Most Dewalt manuals are available here: https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Home . There are 40 Dewalt power tools with 321 in the model number. Several are jigsaws. There are two types for the DW321 (TO3PAK-2LE JIG SAW) jigsaw. Please look at the label on the jigsaw to ensure that you get the correct model and type. The direct link to the manual for the DW321 Type 1 is currently https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/GetDocument?docName=402086-01,DW321.pdf&productId=2841&productType=3001&documentId=24909&translatedFileName=http://documents.dewalt.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/402086-01,DW321.pdf .

To change the regular blade on the DW321 type 1, unplug the power tool. To remove the blade, pull the knob on the top of the jigsaw up about 1/4". Rotate the knob counterclockwise until the clamp opens. Do not force the knob after it stops. Insert the blade making sure that the back edge of the blade fits into the support roller. Rotate the knob clockwise until it clicks and then push it down.

I hope this helps.

I have a milwaukee jig saw, 6268-21 that I cannot load blades.

Yes the Milwaukee 6268-21 does require the use of certain jigsaw blades. You have to use T-shank type blades. You push the tension lever hold it while putting the blade in as far as it will go, then you release the tension lever slowly and it will engage the blade. You should then check by pulling on the blade to make sure it is seated properly and will not come out.

My cordless jigsaw doesnt seem to give out as much power anymore and its not the batteries

The commutator on the motor is probably dirty. Use a light grade sand paper and turn the motor by hand while you clean it.

Blade comes out while sawing

I have used the same tool. Make sure that the blade release/ hold tab is engaged. Maybe the return spring is fouled or stuck. Try some lubricant.
