this web site from Hoshizaki does not show or indicate any wire for heating. See sequence on page 10. You may want to read thru this as this may help you understand how it works and what you may need to address. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

just to let you know you need to use nickel safe ice machine cleaner. and i hate to tell you this but if you are seeing silver chips in your ice your evaporator is shot. even if it is under warranty they will not give a new plate just for the reason of not using nickel safe cleaner. hope this helps you. i have seen this many times as im a service tech. alot of restaurant owners use coffee cleaner and also destroy their plates

are you sure this is a Hoshi and not a Cold Draft? Your model number in not in any of my manuals and the Hoshi tech site has no listing for such a machine.
Double check it.

Too long to explain sequence here. but in the harvest mode the fan will not be running. go to hoshizaki.com you will find every thing you need very helpful site . and a clean machine is a happy machine. hope that helps Tom

did you check to see if the water filter was plugged?

well if the repair man wasnt willing or able to reprogram it might be in your best intrest to replace the unit. nothing says you have to get new though. if you do a little searching you should be abelto find some great deals. if you need some help shoot me an e-mail on here
