Swatch Irony Aluminium instruction manual needed

I lost the instruction manual that came with my Swatch Irony Aluminium chronograph. I have no idea how to operate the watch and cannot even get it to function as a REGULAR watch (I can get the second hand to tick but the hour and minute hands stay still). Can anyone help?

set tenth second hand on swatch irony

  • Anonymous Mar 17, 2014

My swatch's second hand moves but the Minute and Hour hands don't move. Is this a symptom of needing a new battery or is there something 'more' wrong with it?

Swatch diaphane second hand stuck

Hello, a week ago the small second hand (not long chrono second hand) got stucked and my irony swatch just stop moving. Although the chronometer could be running if started... The small hand just didn't move.
I tried different tricks, like removing battery, pull out main wheel and use chrono buttons to reset arms. Etc.
Today I noticed that when turning the wheel backwards a couple of times (one or two hours back) the little hand moved one second back... Pushing wheel back to On possition made the small hand move forward one second and get stucked again.
Then I did this procedure a couple of times, at some point I turned the wheel back for a while (may be 5 full turns) and noticed the small hand moved more than one second (5, 10, 15 seconds backward)... when I noticed it was moving freely I pushed wheel to on position and noticed the small second hand was running normal.. I hope it works for some of you. Greettings from Canada

Swatch, irony, men's watch, doesn't work

the second hand, the small one at about 6 o'clock is moving which indicates your watch is working. the other large hand is not the second hand but the chronograph hand or stopwatch hand. You start it in motion by pushing the button a 2 o'clock. You also stop it this way. The button a 4 o'clock is the button than resets it to zero (12 o'clock). You didn't say what wasn't working. Does this help?

How to remove the front glass of my swatch irony

remove the movement and press the glass out from the back. Not a job if you do not have the right tools. Suggest you send to a watch maker.

I have a swatch irony chrono, but when I stop the stop-watch and push the bottom button, the sweep hand ends up at the 11 o'clock and not the 12 position. My quartz Parnis does this, and its driving me...

Assuming the mechanics work ok (thay all do 360 degree turns) it's just a calibration issue: download from SWATCH support a PDf which describes how to zero the watch hands, it's simple as taking the crown out to 3rd step, the pushing the buttons repectively till they point 12 direction. Exact details in the PDF.

Suddenly its stops so i bought a new battery but still it wouldn't work even with a new battery

You are not in luck - Irony watches are not made to be serviceable and therefor you will have to send it back to Swatch or one of their dealers - hopefully it is under warranty.

My Swatch Irony watch has recently been running slow. I thought it might be a low battery, but after a replacement, it still loses time (a few minutes each day). Any ideas?

Thank you for contacting Fixya,<br /> I would have the battery checked again. Sometimes batteries in stores can be past the extended life of battery. Otherwise could be a number of issues. Has it been around water? Dropped? Could need cleaning. In cases of most watches, like Swatch, the cost to have repaired may exceed the watch. <br /> You can contact Swatch at:<br /> <a href="http://www.swatch.com/zz_en/shop.html">http://www.swatch.com/zz_en/shop.html</a>

I need to reset the hands

Assuming you want to reset the zero posistion of the chronometer (stop watch) hands...

On my watch I can adjust it by doing the following...

To reset the microseconds hand / top right
1) Pull the center knob full out (2 clicks)
2) Press the bottom push button to adjust the hand

To reset the seconds hand / middle
1) Pull the center knob a full out (2 clicks)
2) Press the top push button to adjust the hand

To reset the minutes hand / top left
1) Pull the center knob out half way (1 click)
2) Next press the bottom push button to adjust the hand.

Once all hands are reset, push the center knob back in fully...done
