Use the stretch stitches. Triple (or reinforced) straight stitch. You must put length to “s.s.+” tension at 4

Use a zig-zag so the stitching will not pop when the fabric stretches.

I've done that and adjusted width, tension etc. The stitches still slip badly and faux leather I can't sew at all on this machine. Thank you for trying to help

Tension should be at 4 or 5. Use a stretch stick (ss on the length). Dotted zig zag or triple straight stitch.

SOURCE: How do I move the presser foot on a Husqvarna

Not sure what exactly you need to know. Are you trying to lift the presser foot or change the presser foot to another one? If it is lifting, there will be a lever of some kind behind the machine. On one of my Husqvarna machines it was a big flat "paddle" shaped lever, not sure what shape it is on the Emerald machines. Lift the lever from the bottom upwards and outwards. Most Husqvarna machines have clip on-and-off feet. You just gently pull forwards on the foot (while the presser foot is raised) to remove it, then push the new one on making sure the small bar part of the presser foot goes into the clip on the presser foot ankle.

I have 116 emerald sewing machine, seldom used, I do not have oiling Instructions in manual.

The Husqvarna Viking Emerald 116 is an electronic sewing machine. These machines do not get oiled by the user. See page 42 of the manual for the routine maintenance; here's a link to that page: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/616955/Viking-Emerald-122.html?page=42#manual . You should only clean the bobbin hook assembly and the feed teeth.

If you have a problem, you should take the machine to a trusted sewing machine repair person. If you add oil, you could damage the electronic components of the machine.

I hope this helps.

(I have access to both a completely mechanical sewing machine and an electronic 'computerized' machine. I only do the maintenance indicated in the manual for each machine.)

Recently my sewing group was given Husvarna Viking Emerald 116. Stitch width is off.

Be sure and use the correct sewing foot...the machine is probably reading the foot and won't let you make adjustments. Also make sure the needle plate is the correct one.
