Lg840g says emergency calls only. No used for years.It's a older tracfone account. SIM lock code-1 . I have a SIM that fits it, and that is in it now. Nothing gets me anywhere..help please!

sounds like either your sim card isnt inserted correctly, or the slots arent turned on. sim card slot 2 is the slot closest to the phone, gold chip faces up, sim card slot one is slightly elevetaed off the phone, gold chip faces down. make sure it is inserted all the way down. perss fimly. then go to SETTINGS>DUAL SIM SETTINGS>DUAL SIM OPEN>CLICK OK. This opens up both sim card slots. after you find out which slot you are going to use, you can repeat these steps and only have opened the one you are using.

ouch.... you have to go to your cellular provider to get you a new PUK # and then you can use your phone again. If you keep trying to put the 4 digit pass code it will fry the sim card !!!

The same thing happened to me. Take the battery and SIM card out of the phone, then simply put them back in and turn the phone back on. Fixed the problem for me.

First you need to unlock your phone before you put tracfone sim card on that phone. Make sure you have appropriate LG neon GT365 unlock code example : if your old sim card using t-mobile you must use t-mobile unlock code for your phone not tracfone. You can get lg unlock code from online seller with lower price and quick turnaround.
