If you are behind a dial-up or cable modem, you may not be getting the required speed for the current Windows Live dl app/setup.
At any rate, you cannot give up with trying, because i've heard reports of taking up to 20 tries to get this!
It is an MS problem, so keep trying! Problem Solved!
Thanks!
You need to know the name of the update. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_update/updates-trying-to-install-over-and-over-again/2a624908-f4b1-46d8-87ed-caa09674ff4f try this
you can try and do a system restore to before the new updates were installed, or you can go to hp's support website and look for your model laptop and download the newest drivers. i'm trying to determine if you have an hp or an asus, since you listed under asus. either way find out what sound hardware you have and download the new drivers or try system restore.
when you update window fist the file activex install
then activex control search which files are not available on your system ,then it listed these files
after that try to down load these files from the web site,
when your system tries to down load these files from web site ,due to lack of proper internet speed,
please contact with your isp provider for increasing internet speed.
if you have any clarification mail me [email protected]
Ensure NO media is plugged in first ie CD / mem stick.
May not be the Windows update. try booting into safe mode using F8 key, if you can access windows that way then problem is a program thats trying to load. To stop programs from loading go to safe mode
If windows wont load in safe mode then registry is corrupted.
When you turn the laptop on hit f8 until the menu comes up, try use the last good known configuration. If that does not work tap f8 goto safe mode and then to system restore and restore it to an earlier time. Let me know if it works.
