Hi Michael,
There has been some damage to some components, most probably the electrolytes in the power supply section of your TV. If you can do, please open the back cover and see any bulged electrolyte capacitor on the power board and replace them and if you can not do it, please consult some local TV tech to do the job..

Wont power on
unfortunately the coby company has gone out of business probably because they have produced an inferior product that has had many, many problems, many people are posting problems with these sets. it is better you just purchase a different brand of tv and leave this heartache causing product behind.
