SOURCE: If i am showing a SE error, meaning a shorted membrane keypad, would part DE94-01647A be all that I would need to replace

"SE" error means you have a failed membrane keypad.

The best way to solve the problem is to replace the control panel frame, which comes with a new keypad installed.

It is part number DE94-01647A available from The Pros here for $39.01 plus shipping. Here is a video showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes. If you have any trouble getting the grille off once the screws are removed, slide the hood vent grille to the left about 1/4", then then pull it forward. On some models there are L-shaped clips that fit into a slot to hold bottom of the vent. Next, disconnect the keypad strip as shown in the photo below, then remove the screws that hold your circuit board in the old frame. fetch.cgi?redirect=http%3a%2f%2fwww.fixya.com%2fuploads%2fimages%2f34374fd.jpg Then carefully (since the display is made of glass) move your circuit board to the new frame, and reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. What does se mean on Samsung over the range microwave model #smh9207st

The SE error code means a key has been depressed for more than 10 seconds. Press the "Clear" button, does it reset and work normally? If not, try completely cycling power to it. If that doesn't work you will probably need to replace the touch pad assembly.

Samsung microwave smh9207 SE Error, there is no ribbon wire on circuit board.

Unless there is grease, moisture, or some other foreign material deposits on your control circuit board, "SE" means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

For the official repair information as per the Samsung bulletin, see http://www.microwavecontrol.com/samsung_se_error.htm

Having problem with over the range microwave. -se-

There is a flaw where the wire membrane joins the circuit board. That small plastic channel where the membrane attaches, disengages or not getting connection. Unplug first, separate membrane and clean contacts with q-tip and after putting back in, use something non conductive or non flammable and push down the opposite side of contact.
See site, pic, top and back
I have had it back up and running for months on end and have repaired many times in as little as a few minutes.

Saying SE on display

The -SE-error is a shorted keypad / membrane switch.

Disconnect power for about 20 min and then reconnect if it resets just put it down to one of those things, if it doesn't reset you need to replace the keypad.
