MY DISHWASHER SAMSUNG MODEL DW80M2020US HAS THE NORMAL LIGHT BLINKING ALL THE TIME

The Normal, Heavy and Smart lights will blink when there is low water level in the dishwasher. Check that the sump area isn't blocked from filling with water. Often there is a float inside the tub that can be held down by a utensil that fell under the lower basket. Remove any foreign objects. Then try to run the dishwasher when it is completely empty. If there isn't an obvious blockage in the water level monitors, you could have a wiring problem or an issue with the control board that doesn't get the signal for water reaching the desired level. (Note: if the incoming water pressure were too low, only the Smart light would flash.)

The light blinking is an error code--usually it will blink a certain number of times, pause, then blink another sequence(ex. 4 times, then 3 times)in a binary error code. There is a chart in the service manual to decipher the code(s) and locate the issue. It could be anything from a heater circuit failure to the drain pump being jammed. Try to see how many times the light blinks, and which ones blink--there could be, on the first part of the sequence, normal light, then, 2 or 3 lights blink-- I need to know which ones are lit. Thanks! You can try to look up the light combinations on the net with a search for your model number and error codes.

The flashing lights are error codes. I need the model number of the unit to make a more accurate diagnosis--usually, each light will blink a certain number of times telling you what the error code number is. You will either have to post that number on this site or look up your model number, and the error codes list.

Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Wish I could solve this, as I'm having the same problem too. Normal light blinks not matter which wash button is pressed. Cancel light will light, but still NOTHING happens. Same model as yours.

if it blinks 5 times then stops and does it over and over , replace the control board it is bad
