Question about JVC Video Cameras
SOURCE: Extend the life of my batteries
Using the flash and LCD monitor affects the rate at which the batteries will drain. The rate at which pictures are taken will also affect battery life. When taking pictures sequentially the battery does not have as much time to recover between each shot. To help to extend the life of your battery, the flash, LCD monitor, and sequential shooting should only be used only as necessary.

Most likely the system is going into standby or hibernating.
Check the Control Panel for Power Options, And adjust these accordingly.
If it is a Dell system, you may want to check your QuickSet options as well for these will often take precedence over your OS settings.

There some small rubber covering on the sides or most likely on the back. Pull it out and you should be able to plug in the power cord.

Take out the hard drive and dvd drive and also make sure the battery is out. Plug in the AC Adapter and then see if the laptop turns on. If it still doesn't turn on then that means the motherboard is bad.
