SOURCE: dish network remote stopped working for on and off and volume

First before trying to repair the remote lets try to just reprogram it. The easiest way to do this is to do a search. 1st Turn the tv on, then on the remote press and hold the tv button until it flashes. Next press the tv power button. Next press the up arrow button slowly until the tv turns off. Then hit the # key. Now if you pressed the up arrow to many times and the tv doesn't respond to the remote just start the process over, except using the up arrow use the down. You may have to push the up arrow button many times before it finds the code. The batteries usually last quite a while since there are 4 of them. If this doesn't work call 1-800-333-dish they will either send out a tech or just mail you a new one. If you have the user guide for the 722 the instructions to do this are on page 82.

SOURCE: need code for Dynex/DX-l42-10A for Dish Network

I know you've probably figured this out by now, since you posted last May, but I figured I would post the solution, since I just found it, and someone else may want to know.
I bought one of these sets the day after Christmas 2009, and finally figured out the code that works with the Dish Network 5.4 IR remote.
I did a Code Scan, and found that the code that works is 721. In the Dish Network listing, this is listed as the third code for Sansui.

Hope someone finds this useful, even if it's too late for you.

Complete signal loss

Is there anything that may be blocking the dish such as rain, snow, or tree branches? Also, please make sure all connections from the wall to the receiver are tight. Reset the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10seconds, plug it back in and allow the receiver to power back on by itself. If issue persists please reach me at:[email protected] with your account information for additional assistance.

Dish changing channel to new recording while watching *pre-recorded* program

rjvdw,

Try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds then plugging it back in, and see if the problem is resolved. The receiver should only switch if you are watching live TV instead of a recording.

If the problem persists, and you are for sure not on Live TV, the receiver may need to be replaced. If it continues you can send me an email at [email protected], and I can assist you further!

Dish DVR 722 - I have been having a continual problem with the Menu Guide response. I click menu and there is a delay of 1-3 seconds before the guide opens. At that point, when scrolling up or down, there...

Hi Joe Cochran,

I do apologize for any inconvenience experienced with the slow guide. It is a known issue with our model 722 receiver, and we are working to resolve it ASAP. It is a software bug and will be fixed in a future software patch. If you can provide more details on your equipment to my email at [email protected] I will submit a technical report to our operations team on your behalf.

When channel guide is up picture runs good but when go back to full screen the picture lags about 15 to 20 sec.

Hi mike7212001my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over your postand seen where your receiver when full screen is running 15 to 20 secondsbehind. The first thing you will need to do is unplug the receiver for 10seconds and let it power back up and require the signal and download theProgram Guide. If the problem is still happening press the buttons ofMenu-6-1-1 and select Check Switch. Then select the Test button and after thetest completes exit out of all menus and the receiver will require the signaland your programming will be in sync.

Dvr has been replaced once. still problems with recording program

thebeach1580,

With the Service Plan, which is $6 per month, it will reduce the technician visit from $95 to $15. From what you have described, your dish may need to be realigned.

You're closed captioning is all jumbled up on Seattle's KIRO TV from my DISH network. The cc works fine on all other channels. Dish says it's a network problem. Any response?

The CC is provided to DISH (and all cable/satellite companies) by the network that creates the programming. Usually, live TV (like news, sports, etc) is the most jumbled because of the time it takes someone to transpose what is being spoken as it is being spoken. If this is a network that is available OTA (via antenna), verify that the issue is not happening when you are receiving the signal from somewhere other than DISH (if you cannot receive an OTA signal, try at a buddy's house that uses another cable provider). If the problem occurs via OTA or other providers, contact KIRO to have them improve their CC service. If it only happens when viewed with DISH, contact DISH, who will then resolve the issue with KIRO (usually a lag time in signal transmission from the provider).

Gh world tour mic has terrible lag

Yes, unfortunately, USB ports just aren't fast enough for live vocals. Some stereo setups have longer lag times than others, as well. A couple of ms is very noticeable. Have you tried adjusting the settings on the game? Go to "Options" on the Home Screen and select "Calibrate Lag." Here you can delay either your Audio or your Video in 1 ms increments to try to adjust for lag times. You may find a happy medium after adjusting these settings.
